Three Iranian productions have been picked to screen at the upcoming Green Image Film Festival in Japan.
The three Iranian short films have environmental themes, which run parallel to the film event’s focus on global environmental issues, the festival website said.
Iranian animation ‘In the Crosshairs’ directed by Marzieh Kheirkhah, the 7-minute ‘Fan’ by Fatima Sohani and the 53-minute movie ‘Ranger and Leopard’ by Fatollah Amiri are the films to be shown at the festival.
‘In the Crosshairs’ was produced using a special sand powder technique.
The 5th edition of the Green Image Film Festival will take place in the Japanese capital city of Tokyo from March 23-25.
The event will screen three films from Iran, five films from Japan, five films from France, five films from Taiwan, and a film from Italy, Sweden, the United States, India, Switzerland, Australia, Germany, Mozambique, Greece, Belgium and Spain.
A run of 29 films will be displayed, out of a total of 214 films from 53 countries that enrolled in the festival.
